Sermon given on the Sunday of the Prodigal Son in 2023.
There is a factual error: The name of the Optina Elder mentioned was not Varnava (Barnabas) but Varsanouphy (Barsanuphius). I say that he is one of my favorites, and then I can’t even remember his name. Sigh. Well, the incident from his life is edifying anyway.
